Andrew M. Heaton, D.D.S.
Dr. Andrew Heaton was born and raised in Southern Utah and spent his childhood playing little league, raising chickens, and working in his family’s garden. As he grew up he found that his first love was sports. But, it didn’t take long for him to realize that his second passion in life was dentistry.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University he was accepted the University of Southern California for dental school. There he not only served the adults and children of the greater Los Angeles area, but also worked with AYUDA, a non-profit organization that reaches out to provide free dental work to underserved children. With this group he gave his Saturdays to local free clinics and also had the opportunity to travel to Belize, Mexico, and Nicaragua to help children who would never have had the resources to get their dental work done otherwise. It was during this time that he realized that making a difference in the current and future health of a child was what he most wanted to do with his career.
From that point forward he focused on pediatrics (children’s dentistry). Upon completion of his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at USC in 2009 he was accepted into a pediatric dental residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans Louisiana. For two years he worked in Children’s Hospital New Orleans providing specialized dental care to children of varying backgrounds and health needs.
Dr. Heaton married his wife Candice during the first of his many years of schooling and training. Together they have four children. In June 2011 he completed his residency and moved to Texas to open All Star Children’s Dentistry. In November of 2012, Dr. Heaton was awarded the title of Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry after achieving board certification.
His goal is to provide
quality care for every family that he sees
and to help create a healthier future for
the children in the area which he serves.

Practice Manager, R.D.A, B.S.B.A.
Clairissa married her husband Matt in 1989 and followed him through his military career to Georgia, Germany and back to Texas.
While in Germany, Clairissa pursued a degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Maryland with a focus on children with special healthcare needs. Blessed with a child who had special healthcare needs, she has a unique appreciation for both the challenges and blessings that brings.
Upon returning from Germany, she opened a small child care center in Burnet, Texas which grew to become a large, accredited center over the time she owned it. During this time she completed her course work at the University of North Texas in Business Administration. After selling her center, she worked in hospital administration and then several years later began working in the pediatric dentistry field where she has remained now for close to six years.
Her unique background in hospital administration, management, children with special healthcare needs and child development are what brought her to our office in April.
Clairissa resides in Lampasas, Texas with her husband Matt who is a “die hard” Aggie. Together they share three children; Emily, Jacob and Joel. She enjoys Aggie football games, attending her children’s sporting events, reading, movies and chocolate cake.
